ACCELERATED ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN GENERAL STUDIES
Accounting Pictures

Program Director: Walter Skiba, M.A., M.Mus.

The General Studies Program offers courses that are cross-disciplinary in character. These programs are intended for students whose interests and goals fall outside the framework of most traditional majors. Students pursuing an Associate of Science degree in General Studies will take a mix of 16-week and 8-week courses that will enable qualified students to graduate with an associate degree in as little as 28 months. They then have the option to complete work toward a bachelor degree in one of four degree-completion programs:

Organization Management (Concentrations available in Computer Networking, HR Management, Quality
Education                                 Assurance, and Working Class Studies)
Humanities
Public Safety Management

Students can also pursue any of the College's other major courses of study that are offered in a traditional semester format.

The program's accelerated approach seeks to reduce or eliminate time and space barriers for adult
learners, allowing working adults to complete their educational objectives at an accelerated pace and apply knowledge gained from the classroom, work and other life experiences.
