Calumet College of St. Joseph’s Criminal Justice Program prepares students for successful and rewarding careers in law enforcement
at the local, state, and federal levels of government. It also prepares students for graduate studies and law school.
Upon completion of this program, students in the Criminal Justice Program will:
- Demonstrate mastery of the theories, principles and practices associated with the criminal justice system, including constitutional
principles, judicial and correctional processes, legal institutions, and methods of law enforcement;
- Have a general understanding and appreciation of the role of the criminal justice system at local, state, and federal levels; and
- Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate codes of professional ethics and the ability to critically and reflectively engage ethical
issues in criminal justice, particularly questions pertaining to social responsibility and professional decision-making.
