General Studies Requirements
The following courses are required for a major in General Studies: 36 credit hours in 200 or upper-level courses determined by the student and academic advisor in consultation with the program director, including GST 499--Senior Seminar.
B.S. in General Studies (124 hours)
The following courses are required for a baccalaureate degree:
- 56 hours: General Education
- 36 hours: Upper Level Courses in Major
Upper level courses in concentration (300-400 courses)
Please Note: Some 200 Level courses may apply as
upper level courses to the Baccalaureate degree with
permission of program director

A.S. in General Studies (64 hours)
The following courses are required for the Associates degree:
- Acceptance into the School of Adult Learning
- 55 hours: General Education 2. GST 499: Integrative Project
- 6 hours: 300 or higher elective credits in a single academic discipline
