ACCOUNTING PROGRAM

PROGRAM OUTCOME OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this program, it is expected that students will:

  1. Have developed the analytical competencies to understand the application of accounting procedures, statements, and systems to the measurement of the financial well-being of organizations;

  2. Demonstrate awareness of contemporary issues in the accounting workplace and the role of accounting information in the local, national, and world economies;

  3. Meet the requirements for entry level careers in accounting such as auditing, corporate accounting, governmental and non-profit organizations, and taxation;

  4. Demonstrate the capability to critically and reflectively engage ethical issues in accounting, particularly questions of social responsibility and professional practice.
