Calumet College of St. Joseph’s Master of Science in Education
prepares teachers to emerge as leaders and advocates of change in their
classrooms, schools, and communities.
Designed to meet the needs of current practitioners, the MS in
Education offers a flexible schedule and a practical emphasis on the student,
allowing you to incorporate State Professional Growth Plan requirements
into your educational experience. The program incorporates online learning
components to eliminate time and space barriers. By completing coursework
in about 18 months, you will begin to influence the future today.
Leadership in the Classroom
The MS in Education is a field-based learning experience that allows you
to use your classroom as a laboratory. With a curriculum that emphasizes
action research, you will collect and analyze classroom data and develop
innovative teaching strategies to improve student learning. By integrating
current theory with everyday experience, you will transform your teaching

The MS in Education is delivered in a cohort model, enabling you to effectively
