HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAM Program Director: Eileen Stenzel, Ph.D. The Human Services Program offers a B.S. in Human Services with two concentrations: Social Services and Counseling. Counseling Concentrators may select a specialization Bereavement Counseling, Chemical Dependency Counseling, or another area of interest to the student such as Pastoral Counseling, Criminal Justice Counseling, or Gerontology. These selections must have the approval of the program director. Counseling students may also elect to complete the Counseling Curriculum without a designated specialty. The curriculum will be designed with the assistance of the Human Services Program Director. DEGREES OFFERED The Human Services Program offers the Chemical Dependency Counseling Specialty as an Accelerated Degree for Certified Non-Degreed Addictions Professionals (ADCAP). To be eligible for admission to the ADCAP program students must have state and/or national certification in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling. Students interested in the ADCAP should contact the Director of the Human Services Program for more information. |
