LIBERAL ARTS PROGRAM

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree | Associate's Degree | Other Requirements

B.A. in Liberal Arts:

The following courses are required for a major in Liberal Arts: Fifty-one credit hours from Liberal Arts disciplines (English, History, Media and Fine Arts, Philosophy, Religious Studies), at least thirty of which must be upper-level. Included are the following core courses:

  1. ENG 310 or 350
  2. PHL 250
  3. HST 325 or 415
  4. MFA 110 or 111
  5. SOC 316 or 335

In his/her last semester of study, the student must take a 499 course in one of the Liberal Arts areas. The coursework will consist of a multi-disciplinary project requiring both a written research paper or multimedia program and an oral presentation. The project will be evaluated by at least two faculty members, chosen from the appropriate disciplines.

The following courses are required for a major in Liberal Arts:

Thirty-three credit hours from Liberal Arts (English, History, Media and Fine Arts, Philosophy, Religious Studies) including the core requirements for the B.A.
