PUBLIC SAFETY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
REQUIREMENTS
The Adult Accelerated program in Public Safety Management is a time shortened
baccalaureate degree for mid-career professionals. Completion of a baccalaureate
degree in public safety management requires satisfaction of requirements
in both the major field of study and in general education.
The general education requirements are set forth as eight core abilities.
The requirements contained in the eight core ability statements may be
satisfied through a variety of routes. Many students will be able to
apply previously completed course work to address core ability requirements.
Certain core ability requirements may be satisfied, in whole or in part,
through completion of course work in the major field of study. Prospective
students should contact Beverly Smith, Associate Director of Admissions
and Advising for Adult Accelerated Programs at 219- 473-4263 or bsmith@ccsj.edu for information concerning the core ability requirements, and the various
