for this class, it is imperative for students to be present for each
speaker. The students are required to
submit a 2-page double-spaced paper, using standard margins, within one-week
after the guest-speaker appears. The
paper can either be e-mailed to the instructor or brought to class the next
session. If the paper is e-mailed, the
instructor will send back confirmation of receipt. It is up to the students to ensure their
assignments have been received. Five
points will be deducted for papers received after the one-week due date. Points will also be deducted for incorrect
margins or spacing, and papers that are
not spell-checked and grammar-checked.
If you need help in these areas, it is advised you have someone look
over your paper before you hand it in. A
3-5 page final paper is required at the end of the session that requires the
student to seek out and compare two leaders that they have had experience
working for. The students can use the
class-generated questions or pose individual questions tailored for the
speaker.
