Class Policy on Attendance: Due to the hands-on nature of this class, attendance at each class is imperative. It is not possible to schedule make-up sessions for the practice scenarios (week 3) or the evaluation sessions. Students who miss class in week 3 will not be able to make up the points assigned to that session, but may continue on in the class for the evaluation, without the opportunity to earn the 30 points possible for week 3, if they so desire. Students who miss their scheduled evaluation session will receive a grade of “Incomplete” and will have to take the class again at a later date. Students who need to withdraw from the module should contact their Academic Advisor and his or her instructor.
Class Policy on Electronic Devices: Students are requested to turn off cell phones and pagers while class is in session. With the prior permission of the instructor, students may leave these items turned on but set to vibrate or other personal alert.
Class Participation: Class participation is vital to the learning process. Students should be prepared to discuss the materials covered in class sessions. Class participation will affect the student’s final grade.
