Registration and Orientation

Registration:

New student registration begins at CCSJ in early summer and continues on a rolling basis throughout the summer. First time students at CCSJ will meet with an Academic Advisor one-on-one to register for classes. Your Academic Advisor will help you organize your class schedule to best meet your academic and personal needs. You will also be able to learn about career options at CCSJ if you are unsure of what major you wish to pursue.

After your first year of study, you will have the option of registering for classes through our on-line student services system or you may continue to meet individually with an Academic Advisor. Our goal is to help you graduate in the major of your choice in a timely manner. Click here for more information about the CCSJ Office of Academic Advising.

New Student Orientation:

Calumet College of St. Joseph now offers an enhanced, exciting student orientation program that redefines the concept of welcoming students to college.  As an incoming first-time, full-time student, you will attend an orientation program that takes place over the course of an entire week. This week-long session will include an introduction to advising, financial aid, career services, student support services, and other key processes and services offered in orientation programs hosted by most colleges and universities.  Beyond this, you will be introduced to critical thinking skills, writing and analytical strategies pertinent to college level work, electronic research techniques, and the concept of learning competencies. You will also be introduced to faculty members, mentors, and fellow students who will share your freshman year with you in learning communities. Most importantly, you will earn three hours of academic credit along the way.

CCSJ’s new student orientation team of admissions, student support services, and academic staff will keep you updated on the week-long new student orientation program for the academic year. We will look forward to seeing you on-campus this fall.
