Honoros Learning Community
Students in an honors program of any kind begin to demonstrate that they are leaders, not followers, and are willing to move beyond the bare minimum, in terms of effort, in exchange for the rewards of high achievement. Our honors learning community, like our college, is unique. Students can expect small class sizes and meaningful contact with actual faculty rather than with teaching assistants in arena-sized classrooms. They can expect a variety of challenging, rewarding educational opportunities. Furthermore, honors students receive a $1,000 scholarship for each semester that they spend in the honors learning community.
Perhaps most significantly, our honors students receive an expenses paid trip abroad in their junior year, to locations like Rome or Venice where -- alongside faculty and fellow students -- they will continue their studies and their pursuit of a meaningful education in the most exciting setting possible.
