INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS International Admission Process/Requirements For Admission to the College: 1. Complete an application to Calumet College. There is NO APPLICATION FEE. You may: 2. Submit academic records. Students coming directly from high school must submit secondary school transcripts. Students transferring from an international college or university must submit official transcripts only from the post-secondary institution if more than 24 transfer hours (one academic year) have been completed. If less than 24 hours have been obtained, both secondary and post-secondary transcripts must be submitted. All transcripts must be evaluated and a “general report” submitted by one of two evaluation services: 3. Demonstrate English proficiency. Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL) at least 190 (515 on written test) are required. 4. An admissions decision is made once the documents listed above have been submitted. Though it is not required to submit SAT or ACT scores, if you do take one of these two tests (first-year students only), they will be used for scholarship consideration. I-20 form Process: 1. Be admitted to Calumet College of St. Joseph 2. Complete the Declaration of Financial Resources for International Students Form and submit supporting financial documentation 3. Once the previous steps have been successfully completed, a Designated School Official will send you a SEVIS I-20 form. 4. Pay the SEVIS fee 5. You will present the I-20 form to the U.S. consulate in your country in order to obtain the F-1 visa necessary to enter the U.S. as an international student. Please contact the consulate to verify any supporting documentation needed to present along with the I-20 form and to schedule an interview with a consular officer. |
