Calumet College of St. Joseph is a commuter campus located on the north side of Hammond, Indiana and is a neighbor to the  town of Whiting. The majority of our students live within the Calumet region (Northwest Indiana and South Chicago) and commute a short distance to the College. If you are from outside the Calumet region and wish to have your child live near campus, while CCSJ does not offer on-campus housing, there are many affordable rental opportunities available within the immediate area. Many of these locations are within walking distance of the CCSJ campus. CCSJ does not offer a formal housing placement service. However, a CCSJ housing advisor can provide a list of rental possibilities.

Also, other rental opportunities are available by utilizing the regional newspaper publications, Northwest Indiana Times and the Post-Tribune, in addition to real estate web sites such as rent.com, apartments.com, and craigslist.com, among others.
