Transfer Scholarship

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale averaged from all colleges previously attended and at least 30 hours of transferable college credit. Renewable for 6 semesters.

Award amount varies up to $2,000 annually

Accelerated Program Scholarship

Minimum 52 transferable college credit hours toward Accelerated Program major and 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Must have transferred within the past 12 months. Renewable for 3 semesters.

Award amount varies up to $1,200 annually

Associate Degree Grant

Must enroll at CCSJ within 12 months of attaining associate degree with a transfer GPA of 3.0. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university. Renewable for 4 semesters.

Completion of the FAFSA is required for all scholarships. Eligibility criteria must be met at the time of admission to CCSJ. Award amounts are based on credit hours of enrollment at the College. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at the College in order to renew the scholarship.

Adult Learner Grant

Available for students 55 years of age or older with an EFC of 0 - 15,000.

For undergraduate courses only. Student must have a bachelor degree from CCSJ.

Athletics Grant

Eligibility is based on student participation in at least one NAIA sport per academic year. Fall & Spring semesters only.

Available to Indiana residents who do not receive state aid. Students must be enrolled full-time. Fall & Spring semesters only. Based on financial need.

Summer Grant

Enrollment during the summer semester. Based on the financial need of the student.

Diocesan Grant

Available to full-time employees of the Diocese of Gary or the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Available to Illinois residents only. Full-time enrollment required. Based on the financial need of the student. Fall & Spring semesters only.

College Bound
Scholarship

Available to students who receive the Hammond College Bound Scholarship. The award assists in covering the remaining tuition costs after all other forms of financial aid are applied.

Available to students who receive the Foundations of East Chicago Scholarship. The award matches the amount of the FECS up to the cost of tuition after all other forms of financial aid are applied.

Student Participation Grant

Complete requirements as specified while serving as a CCSJ mentor, tutor, club President, club VP or member of the drama group.

Up to $2,000

CCSJ Legacy Grant

Be the son or daughter of a CCSJ Bachelor or Masters degree recipient. Full-time enrollment required. Fall & Spring semesters only.

Up to $3,000

Completion of the FAFSA is required for all grants. All the above grants are awarded exclusively for courses at Calumet College of St. Joseph, are limited in number, and are awarded on a first come, first served basis. These grants are renewable based on need and availability of funding, unless otherwise noted. All grants are based on number of credit hours enrolled.
