DIRECTED STUDY

Students interested in applying for a directed study course can do so in the Academic Advising
Office if they meet the following requirements. Requests for Directed Study are granted selectively
to students for upper level (300+) courses in their majors when all of the following conditions are
met:

1. The student has a 2.00 GPA or higher

2. The course is required for the major

3. The course is not projected to be offered prior to the student's graduation on whichever day/night
schedule the student is following

4. The chairperson of the student's major division has indicated that a substitution would not be
advisable or appropriate

Directed Study applications are available on the Academic Advising Office or the Education Office
and must be completed by the end of early registration.
