Graduation Information 2015
Graduation Information 2015
Commencement is a thrilling time of year for faculty, staff, students, and their families to confirm academic success. Students who are graduating this academic year -those who will complete all coursework and requirements in December 2014 (fall 2014), May 2015 (spring 2015), or August 2015 (summer 2015)- have the opportunity to participate in the 2015 commencement ceremony. Below is a list of graduation activities. For a full list of the graduation details that were mailed to all graduates, please go here.
Cap and Gown ordering can be completed via the Jostens link below for all degree candidates who have completed their application for graduation.
Please note that ticket allocation is based upon the actual number of students participating in the ceremony and capacity of our venue. Your graduation from Calumet College of St. Joseph is a major milestone in your life, and we wish that we could issue an unlimited amount of tickets for your loved ones. However, we must accommodate some guests for all of our students. Therefore, each candidate will receive four (4) guest tickets for admission. Commencement tickets must be picked up in person by the candidate in room 610 until 4:30pm and then in Admissions on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. You will be asked to sign to acknowledge receipt of the tickets. Tickets are available for pickup starting March 23th through May 1st. Pick up tickets during the following times:
Monday 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Tuesday 8:30 am-7:00 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am-7:00 pm
Thursday 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm
If you are interested in obtaining additional commencement tickets, contact Cheryl Davis at 219-473-4321 or email@example.com to request to be put on the waiting list.
If you haven't picked up your admission tickets by May 1st, we will assume that you do not want your guest tickets and they will no longer be available to you. Unclaimed commencement tickets will be made available starting the week of May 4th. The limited number of additional tickets will be made available to students on the waiting list.

APPLY TO GRADUATE
Preparing for graduation is a very exciting time for students and one of the most important steps in preparing for graduation is completing your application for graduation.
Please keep in mind that the graduation process is not automatic and before you can be listed as a degree candidate, you must complete your application for graduation (which includes the graduation checklist). This should be completed by the deadline stipulated in the Schedule of Classes which is always at the beginning of the last semester of your current program.
Below are the directions for completing your graduation checklist and applying for graduation:
Log into your MyCCSJ account at www.ccsj.edu (select Students at the top, and then the MyCCSJ Online Services icon)
Under Student Records go to Graduation Checklist
You will then see steps including Review Personal Information, Review Student Record Information, Review Student Billing Account, and Apply for Degree
You must review all steps before you can proceed with applying for your degree. You will also be required to submit payment of your graduation fee, therefore, if you are unsure if you are ready to complete your graduation application or if you have taken a break in your program and would like to find out what you should do to stay on track for graduation, please contact the Office of Academic Advising.
Once your application for graduation has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email to your CCSJ email account within 7 days informing you that you have been added to the graduation list as a degree candidate. Your application for graduation status will also show as Accepted. Please remember that being a degree candidate indicates that you have approached the final phase of your degree requirements. You must still pass all required courses in order to remain on that graduation candidate list. If you are not eligible to be listed as a degree candidate, you will receive an email with those details as well.
Additionally, a graduation packet with details about the May commencement ceremony and other graduation events will be provided in January.
