Men Finish 8th in CCAC
11/7/09 - The Crimson Wave men’s cross country team competed at the CCAC Cross Country Championships this weekend hosted by the University of St. Francis at Dellwood Park in Joliet, IL.
The Crimson Wave captured eighth place finishing in front of Holy Cross College and Cardinal Stritch University. Senior Richard Gutierrez led men finishing 25th overall in 28:53.72. Sophomore Robbie Loop finished 36th overall in 29:44.18. Freshman Tyler Stiscak finished 50th with freshman Ptah El-Aton finishing 55th. Freshman Mike Dzurovcik rounded out the men in 58th.
This was the final meet of the season for the men and first year coach Don Reed.
Cross Country Competes at Great Lakes Challenge
10/24/09 - The Crimson Wave men’s cross country team traveled to Aquinas College today to compete in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, where they finished 21st overall.
Richard Gutierrez led the men finishing 68th overall with a time of 27:25.43 while Robbie Loop finished 92nd in 28:04.11. Tyler Stiscak finished 131st with Fred Olaosebikan right on his heels at 137th. Joe Efantis and Mike Dzurovcik round out the men finishing 142nd and 145th respectively.
Men Run Tough at Lucian Rosa
10/10/09 - The Crimson Wave cross country team finished 19th overall at the Lucian Rosa Invitational this weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Robbie Loop led the men finishing 131st with a time of 29:08.4. Fred Oldosebikan followed right behind finishing 163rd in 30:45.1. Tyler Stiscak was 171st with Ptah El-Aton finishing 186th and Mike Dzurovcik at 191st.
"The course is very challenging and the way we ran in relation to our personal bests shows that we are making big improvements." said coach Don Reed
Men Compete at the Sean Earl Invite
10/3/09 - The Crimson Wave cross country team competed at the Sean Earl Invite today at Loyola University, finishing 37th.
Richard Gutierrez led the Crimson Wave, on the very difficult and hilly course, finishing 177th with a time of 27:55. Robbie Loop followed finishing 264 in 29:20 with Tyler Stiscak at 331. Fred Olaosebikan finished 369, Joe Efantis 382, Ptah El-Aton 405, and rounding out the Crimson Wave Mike Dzurovcik at 406th.
The Crimson Wave men will run their next race, the Lucian Rosa Invitational, on Saturday October 10th, at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Men Finish 8th overall at the Forester Invitational
9/26/09 - The Crimson Wave men’s cross country team finished 8th overall at the Forester Invitational today. Richard Gutierrez led the way for the men finishing 16th overall, running a time of 27:32. Robbie Loop finished 19th running 27:36 while Fred Olaosebikan finished 67th. Tyler Stiscak at 76th, Ptah El-Aton at 107th and Mike Dzurovcik at 115th round out the Crimson Wave.
Men Compete at the National Catholic Invitational
9/18/09 – The Crimson Wave men’s cross country team competed at the National Catholic Invitational today at the University of Notre Dame. Richard Gutierrez finished 24th running a time of 29:07.2, while Robbie Loop finished 40th (30:16.8) and Tyler Stiscak finished 55th (32:10.3).
