Junior men's basketball player Wilfredo Escobar has been selected as December's Male Crimson Wave Athlete of the Month.Escobar's performance's include 23 points in the opening round of the Crimson Wave Holiday Invite against Waldorf College, 18 points and six rebounds in the championship game against Bellevue University. Escobar was named to the All-Invite team for the event. Escobar went on to score 29 points in the opening round of the Bethel College Classic, along with 20 points in the second round and was named to the All-Classic team. During the month of December Escobar joined the 1,000 point club along with becoming the all-time assist leader for men's basketball.

Junior women's basketball player Lisa Upshaw has been selected as December's Female Crimson Wave Athlete of the Month. Upshaw's performance's include 21 points against Siena Heights University, 24 points and 10 rebounds in the opening round of the St. Xavier Holiday Invite. Upshaw came back a day later a went for 28 points and seven rebounds in the Crimson Wave's upset of NAIA No. 17 Aquinas College in the second round. Upshaw ended the invite with 24 points and 13 rebounds in the ladies win over Siena Heights University. Upshaw was named to the all-invite team for the event. Upshaw's perforamances that week earned her CCAC Player of the Week honors.
