(2/28/07) Track and Field at Anderson Invite
The men and women’s track and field team competed at the Anderson
Invitational at Anderson University this past weekend. Joelle Dixon finished
8th overall in the 5000 Meter Run. This event was the last for the men
and women’s indoor season. For complete results of all Crimson Wave

(2/26/07) Men's Volleyball Falls to Lindenwood
The men's volleyball team took a tough loss to Lindenwood University on
Saturday 3 games to 0 (14-30, 21-30, 25-30). Kyle Radde had 10 kills for
the Wave. The men's record is now 1-12. Their next match will be at the
Park University Invitational on March 2.
(2/23/07) Men’s Volleyball defeats Archers
The Crimson Wave Men's Volleyball team defeated Moody Bible Institute
tonight 3 games to 0 (30-23, 30-21, 30-21). Senior Brad Hatfield had 13
kills for the Wave. This win was the first for the men this season, improving
their record to 1-11. Their next match will be Friday night at Cardinal
Stritch University starting at 7:00 pm.
(2/23/07) Women’s Basketball Falls Short to Cardinal Stritch
The Crimson Wave women's basketball team ended their season tonight
with a CCAC Semi-Final loss to Cardinal Stritch University 75-45. Michelle
Hamblin had 15 points for the Wave. The women ended there season with
an overall record of 6-23.
(2/22/07) Men’s Basketball; Dream Season Comes to an End
The Crimson Wave men’s basketball team was defeated by
Cardinal Stritch University last night 81-60 bringing a 21-7 season to
an end. The men were led by Tom Radtke’s 20 points. This season
posted the best record in school history. The Wave led the CCAC at 9-1.
(2/21/07) Basketball Earns Two More Players of the Week
Junior Tom Radtke and Sophomore Michelle Hamblin were both selected
as CCAC Players of the Week. Hamblin’s last week performance include
eight points and six rebounds against Mount Mary College, 18 points, 10
rebounds, 6 steals against Trinity Christian College, and nine points
five rebounds against Judson College. Tom Radtke had 10 points and seven
rebounds against Trinity Christian College, and 24 points and 13 rebounds
against Judson College. This is both Hamblin’s and Radtke’s
second time for this honor.
(2/20/07) Men’s Basketball to Play Cardinal Stritch University
in CCAC Semi-Final Game
The Crimson Wave men’s basketball team will host the CCAC
Semi-Final Game Wednesday February 21st at 7:00 pm. The game will be against
conference rival Cardinal Stritch University. The semi-final game will
be played at the Hammond Civic Center. Adults will be $5 and students
$3 for this contest. The winner of this game will advance to the CCAC
Championship game on Saturday February 24th.
(2/19/07) Men’s Basketball Honors All-Conference
Senior Evinn Herring, Senior Janine Hudson, Junior Tom Radtke
have been voted to the 2006-2007 CCAC All-Conference team. Senior Marques
Robertson was named to the CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Gary
Hayes was named the CCAC Coach of the Year.
(2/19/07) Women’s Basketball: All-Conference Players
Sophomore Michelle Hamblin was named to the CCAC All-Conference team.
Freshman Candace Bishop was vote as CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
(2/16/07) Brad Hatfield; Named National Player of the Week
Senior Brad Hatfield has been named Men’s Volleyball National Player
of the week, for the week of February 14th. Hatfield’s 34 kill performance
against Newman University has been his best of the season.
(2/16/07) Nakoff Named Player of the Week
Lauren Nakoff has been named CCAC Player of the week for the week of February
14th. Her last week performances include 20 points against Trinity International
University and a five point 10 assist game against Chicago State University.
(2/16/07) Evinn Herring; Third Strait Player of the Week
Evinn Herring has won his third strait player of the week for the week
of February 14th. Herring’s performances included 22 points against
Purdue University North Central and a 21 point performance against Trinity
International University. Herring is second in the CCAC in scoring averaging
21 ppg.
(2/15/07) Men’s Volleyball Reschedules Game
The men’s volleyball game for tonight against Graceland University
has been rescheduled for Saturday February 17 at 12:00 pm at the Hammond
Civic Center
(2/15/07) Men’s Basketball Wins Conference
The Crimson Wave men’s basketball team defeated Trinity Christian
College last night 57-50 to capture the CCAC Conference Title. Evinn Herring
led the Wave in scoring last night with 18 points, with George Kelly right
behind him throwing in 16 points. Tom Radtke ended the night with 10 points
and 7 rebounds for the men. The men’s record is 8-1 with one game
remaining at Judson College on Saturday February 17 starting at 7:30 pm.
(2/15/07) Women’s Basketball falls short to Trinity Christian
The women’s basketball team suffered a one point loss last night
to Trinity Christian College 58-57. Michelle Hamblin’s double, double,
18 points and 10 rebounds led the Wave. Lauren Nakoff also had 13 points
for the women. The women’s record is now 6-22 and 1-6 in conference.
Their next game will be Saturday February 17th at 5:30 pm at Judson College.
(2/12/07) Men’s Volleyball Takes Newman to Five
The men’s volleyball team was defeated by Newman University on Saturday
3 games to 2 (23-30, 26-30, 30-25, 30-20, 10-15). Senior Brad Hatfield
joined the 30 Kill Club with 34 Kills. Jeff Robinson had 47 assists. The
men’s record is now 0-8. The Wave’s next match will be Wednesday
February 14 against St. Ambrose University at the Hammond Civic Center
starting at 7:00 pm
(2/09/07) Men’s Basketball Post Best Season Record
This season’s Men’s Basketball team has now posted the best
record in the programs history. The 2003-2004 men’s team finished
with a record of 17-12 under former head coach Nate Pomeday. This season’s
team has posted a record of 18-7 with a minimum of four games remaining
under head coach Gary Hayes.
(2/08/07) Basketball Wins Double Header
The Crimson Wave basketball teams both defeated Trinity International
last night at the Hammond Civic Center. The women won the first game 59-42.
Lauren Nakoff had 20 points including six three point field goals. The
women improve their record to 5-20 overall and 1-5 in conference. The
men won the second game 53-48. Evinn Herring led the men in scoring with
21 points. Tom Radtke brought down 13 boards for the Wave. The men’s
record now stands at 18-7 the best record ever posted by a men’s
basketball team at Calumet College of St. Joseph The men’s next
game will be Saturday February 10th at Purdue University North Central
starting at 3:00 pm. The women will also play on the 10th at Chicago State
University starting at 2:00 pm.
(2/07/07) Herring Player of the Week
For the second strait week men’s basketball player Evinn Herring
has captured the CCAC Player of the Week honor. Herring’s performance
against Cardinal Stritch University on February 3, including 32 points
and six rebounds, paved his way to the honor.
(2/06/07) Track and Field at Taylor Invite
The men and women’s track and field team competed in the Taylor
University Indoor Meet last Saturday. Richard Gutierrez finished 3rd in
the one mile run with a time of 4:40.58. The next meet for the track and
field teams will be February 10th at Anderson University.
(2/05/07) Men’s Basketball Defeats the Wolves
The men’s basketball team came back after their loss to Judson College
to defeat Cardinal Stritch 68-62 Saturday. Evinn Herring led all scoring
with 32 points and six rebounds. The men’s next game will Wednesday
February 7 against Trinity International University at the Hammond Civic
Center starting at 7:00 pm.
(2/05/07) Women’s Basketball Defeated by Cardinal Stritch
The women’s basketball team was defeated by Cardinal Stritch University
72-26 on Saturday. Candace Bishop led the Wave in scoring with six points
and six rebounds. The women’s next game will be Wednesday February
7 against Trinity International University at the Hammond Civic Center
starting at 5:00 pm.
(2/1/07) Track and Field to Compete in Taylor Invite
The men and women’s track and field teams will travel to Upland
Michigan this Saturday to compete in the Taylor Invite. This event will
be the third for the track and field teams this season. Both teams will
look to finish well against a strong field of competition
