((3/28/07) Softball Reschedules Robert Morris
The Crimson Wave softball game scheduled for 4:00 pm today against Robert
Morris College has been cancelled due to weather. This game will be rescheduled
for a later date.
(3/28/07) Softball Defeated by Trinity International
The Crimson Wave softball team was defeated last night by Trinity International
University in a conference double header, 2-1 and 10-2. The ladies record
is now 8-14 overall and 0-4 in conference. Their next game will be today
against Robert Morris starting at 3:00 pm against Robert Morris College.
(3/28/07) Men’s Volleyball Says Goodbye to Seniors with
Win against Moody
The Crimson Wave men’s volleyball defeated Moody Bible Institute
last night three games to zero (30-20, 30-16, 30-26). This was the last
home match for Seniors Brad Hatfield and Jeff Robinson. The men’s
record improves to 4-22 and 3-7 in conference. Their next match will be
this Friday at 2:00 pm. This game will be the first round of the MAMVIC
Conference Tournament. The tournament will be played at St. Ambrose University.
(3/26/07) Men’s Bowling Earns bid to Nationals
The inaugural season for the Crimson Wave men’s bowling team has
become nearly a dream come true for most college bowlers. The team earned
a bid to the USBC Intercollegiate team championships in Wichita, KS. The
Wave finished 3rd in the USBC Intercollegiate team sectional this past
weekend in Fairview Heights, IL. Overall the team finished with 12,200
pins, 313 pins short of first place. The men will travel to Wichita, KS
on April 14-21.
On the individual side the Crimson Wave’s Ryan Alberson finished
5th, one spot short of qualifying for the individual national tournament.
Alberson ended the sectional with an average of 203.166. Ryan has also
made the Calumet College of St. Joseph presidents list for the fall semester.
(3/22/07) Baseball defeated at Olivet
The Crimson Wave baseball team was defeated last night 12-2 and 17-7 in
a double header against Olivet Nazarene University. The men’s record
is 5-15. Their next game will be Saturday March 24 at Berea College starting
at 12 pm.
(3/21/07) Softball Vs Robert Morris
The Crimson Wave softball game to be played tomorrow Thursday March 22nd
against Robert Morris College will be rescheduled for Wednesday March
28 at 4:00 pm.
(3/21/07) Baseball Defeated at Trinity International
The Crimson Wave baseball team was defeated by Trinity International University
yesterday in a conference double header. The men fell to Trinity in game
one 8-5 and 15-11 in game two. The men’s record fell to 5-13. Their
next game will be today at Olivet Nazarene University starting at 1:00
pm.
(3/21/07) Men Fall Short to Fighting Bee’s
The Crimson Wave men's volleyball team was defeated by St. Ambrose University
tonight 3 games to 1 (30-24, 23-30, 14-30, 23-30). The Wave’s record
stands at 3-22. The men's next game will be the Dominican University Invite
on March 24.
(3/20/07) Softball defeated by Judson
The Crimson Wave softball team was defeated in both games of a double
header against Judson College on Monday. Game one ended at 13-0 and game
two at 8-0. The women’s record is now 5-11. There next game will
Thursday March 22 against Robert Morris College starting at 3:00 pm. This
game will be played at Standard Diamonds.
(3/19/07) Crimson Wave Return Home from Florida
MissouriThe Crimson Wave baseball team returned home Friday from their
week long trip to Florida coming home with a 4-6 record. After, returning
Friday the men left Saturday for Missouri and double header with Hannibal-Lagrange
losing both, 7-6 and 9-4 bring their overall record to 5-11. During game
one of the Hannibal-Lagrange double header Lacelle McKinley went 2-3,
while Eric Arcella was 2-4 at bat. Game two of the double header, showed
the consistency of Lacelle McKinley going 2-3 at bat again. The men’s
next game will be a conference double header at Trinity International
University on Tuesday March 20 starting at 1:00 pm. This will be the men’s
first conference match up of the season.
(3/16/07) Softball Wraps up Florida with Two Wins
The Crimson Wave softball team ended their trip to Orlando, Fl with two
wins yesterday. Game one brought a win against Lackawana College, 4-3,
and a game two win against the University of Minnesota Morris, 5-2. The
women finished their trip 4 and 6. Their overall record now stands at
5 and 9. The Wave will play Judson College at home on Monday March 19
at 4:00 pm.
(3/13/07) Softball Defeated by Avila
The Crimson Wave softball team was defeated in both games of the double
header against Avila College. The first game was 2-1 and the second 3-0.
The women are now 3-7
(3/12/07) Softball Grabs Two Wins in Florida
The Crimson Wave softball team defeated the University of Minnesota Morris
in each game of the double header. The first game ended 9-1 with Lisa
Keilman grabbing the win. Cory Scanlan went 2-4 with Amanda Hamilton having
two RBI's. Game two finished with the Wave winning 6-2. Amy Hughes got
the win. The women's record is now 3-5.
(3/11/07) Softball Defeated by Northland in Florida
The Crimson Wave women's softball team was defeated in two games against
Northland College 5-1 and 7-0. Ashley Lake went 2-3 in game one. The women
will play Minnesota Morris on Sunday morning.
(3/07/07) Waves Splash Down on the Wolves
The Crimson Wave men's volleyball team defeated Cardinal Stritch University
tonight 3 games to 1 (35-33, 30-28, 19-30, 30-24). Kyle Radde led the
Wave in kills with 23, with Brad Hatfield adding 15 kills. Jeff Robinson
ended the night with 50 assists. The men's overall record is 3-13 and
2-3 in conference. The Wave will travel to St. Louis, MO Thursday to take
on Missouri Baptist and Lindenwood University in MAMVIC conference matches.
(03/06/07) Baseball Opens at Brescia
The Crimson Wave baseball team opened their season at Brescia College
this past weekend. The men won one of the four games they played. The
Wave beat Brescia in Game 4 of the two day double header 9-8. The men’s
record is 1-3 and will be traveling to Orlando, Fl this weekend
(3/05/07) Crimson Wave at Gill
The Crimson Wave Track and Field teams competed in the Gill Athletics
Invitational this past weekend at Carthage College. Richard Gutierrez
finished 2nd in the 5000 Meter Run, finishing with a time of 16:11.19.
Robert Torres finished 6th in the 400 Meter Dash, running 54.53s. On the
women's side Joell Dixon took 7th in the 1 Mile Run with a time of 5:42.93
and 9th in the 800 Meter Dash, running 2:38.36.
(3/05/07) Softball Defeats Concord
The Crimson Wave softball team competed in the Indiana University Southeast
Invitational this past weekend. The women suffered losses to IU Southeast
and Lindsey Wilson College before defeating Concord College 11-4. The
women’s next game will be in Orlando Florida this coming weekend.
The women’s record is 1-3.
