Men's Bowling at the Eagles Baker Challenge 1-13-08
The Calumet College of St. Joseph men’s bowling program is now in its second season. During the 2006-07 collegiate season, the Crimson Wave men achieved great success in qualifying for the prestigious USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships, where they finished tied for 9th Place among the nation’s top 16 teams. The first year team had a high tournament finish of 4th Place, and finished the season with a national ranking of 13th. This season promises to be even more exciting, as the team has added promising new recruits to join an accomplished core of players from last season. Coaches Kubacki and Vania have set lofty goals for the CCSJ men’s program, and they, along with the entire athletic administration, are working diligently to establish the program as one of the nation’s best. With our second season nearing the halfway point, these goals are beginning to be realized. After the first five tournaments of the current season, the Crimson Wave have top finishes in all five events, including recent back-to-back 2nd Place finishes. Stay tuned, as the Crimson Wave men continue their climb toward a repeat appearance at this season’s USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships in Wichita, Kansas beginning on April 16th, 2008.
