Brian Nowakowski enters his first season as head coach of the Crimson Wave baseball program after spending the 2011 season as an assistant with the Crimson Wave.

Nowakowski started his baseball career at St. Francis De Sales High School where he was named to the ABCA All-State team.  Immediately following his high school career, Nowakowski was drafted in the 1997 MLB Free Agent Draft to the Minnesota Twins Organization.  In 1998 Nowakowski played for the Golf Coast League Twins and 1999 the Elizabethan Twins as a relief pitcher.  Nowakowski retired from professional baseball shortly after following an injury.

Nowakowski’s coaching career started as an assistant coach at St. Francis de Sales High School and then Clark High School before joining the Crimson Wave coaching staff.
