Crimson Wave Athletics

Mike Kubacki will enter his ninth season as head coach of the Crimson Wave men's bowling program with much success.

Kubacki earned an Associate of Science Degree in Bowling Lanes Management from Vincennes University graduating in 1987. While bowling at Vincennes Kubacki was a five time NJCAA medalist winning NJCAA Gold Doubles champion a two time NJCAA All-Events Silver runner-up and a silver and gold winner in Team. Coach Kubacki also set the NJCAA high game record of 288 in 1987. Kubacki was also awarded the Dave Littauer Memorial Scholarship.

After collegiate bowling Kubacki was a four time Indiana State Champion, while earning a 18 year composite average of 212 at the USBC Open Championships. Kubacki has also been perfect cashing three out of three times with a high finish of 23rd in the US Open competing as an amateur.
Kubacki started his coaching career at Highland High School where he coach the 2004 boys team. In 2005 he started the boys team at Griffith High School where he remained the head coach through the 2010 season winning a State Championship in only his second season.

During Kubacki's tenure with the Crimson Wave five men's bowlers were named NCBCA Academic All-Americans, two NCBCA Second Team All-Americans, two NAIA All-Americans and an NAIA MVP. Kubacki has had eight straight USBC ITC appearances with his best finish coming in 2010. The 2010 tournament produced a 2nd place finish at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships with Ryan Gleghorn being named tournament MVP. Coach Kubacki's teams have been consistently ranked in the top ten in the country for the last 7 straight seasons.

In 2013 Coach Kubacki was the first Collegiate bowling Coach to be named NCBCA and NAIABCA Coach of the Year. IIn 2014 Kubacki was named to the top 100 bowling coaches by Bowlers Journal International for the fifth time.

Crimson Wave Athletics

Sammy Krucek is entering his fourth season as assistant coach for the CCSJ men's bowling team. Prior to joining the Crimson Wave coaching staff Sammy was the most successful combination of academics and athletics the CCSJ mens bowling program has had in its prior 8 years.

Sammy graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a double major of Psychology and Criminal Justice with a cumulative gpa of 3.8. On the lanes Sammy's accomplishments were many as he was 2 time NCBCA All American, NAIA First Team All America ,member of the 2010 USBC Intercollegiate Team championship runner up team, two time collegiate secional team champion, 2014 Indiana State Tournament Team Champion, 2013 Greater Calumet Area Bowling Association Bowler of the Year.

Sammy also works in the pro shop at the Crimson Wave's home center of Olympia Lanes and has quickly become a ball driller that many seek out.
