Emily King continues a long life of soccer as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Calumet College.
Emily began her soccer career by being the first female soccer player to gain All-State honors
at United Township High School. She then attended Valparaiso University and played four years
of Division 1 soccer. Emily's freshman and sophomore year she received honors as a Second Team
All-Conference player in the Mid Continent Conference. Her junior and senior years she was voted
in as team captain, received First Team All-Conference recognition, and was also chosen for the
All-Tournament Team at the Mid Continent Conference Tournament. Her senior year she was the Conference
Tournament MVP for scoring 4 out of her teams 5 goals to gain their first Women's Soccer Bid to the NCAA tournament.
King began her coaching career at Northwest Indiana United Futbol Club and coached at the U16 level.
She moved on to the Graduate Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at the University of South Dakota for the 2006 season.
Currently, besides taking over at Calumet College, she will be coaching at NWI United once again with youth
ages and their U16 Girls as well.
Coach King graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelors of Arts degree with a 3.54 GPA in Theology.
