Men Compete at Missouri Valley

Crimson Wave Volleyball2/28/15 -
The Crimson Wave men’s volleyball team fell in three matches this weekend at the Missouri Valley Invite in Marshall, MO.

The Crimson Wave came out strong going four sets with Bluefield College after taking set one.  The men eventually fell to Bluefield 3-1 (25-20, 14-25, 21-25, 21-25).  The Crimson Wave took on the #1 ranked Park University in their second match of the invite falling 3-0.

The men fell to host Missouri Valley in their final match of the invite 3-0 (15-25, 23-25, 13-15).  Dominick Terry had 10 kills while teammate Tim Williams had 8 kills.  Liam Fagan led CCSJ with 7 digs. 

The Crimson Wave will be back in action on March 6th when they travel to Lakeland College.
Crimson Wave Grab first GLC Win of the Season

Crimson Wave Volleyball2/20/15-
The Crimson Wave men’s volleyball team grabbed their first win of the season today at the Trinity International University Tri in Deerfield, IL.

The Crimson Wave fell in their first match of the day to Loras College 3-0.  In the men’s second match of the day they defeated Trinity International University for their first win of the season and first GLC win for the program. 

The men took set one 25-23 in a thriller.    CCSJ then defeated TIU in set two leading the set most of the way, 25-22.    In set three the Crimson Wave started out strong and never looked back taking the match 25-20 for their first win.

Dominick Terry led the way with 24 kills.  Ruben Maciel ended the day with 26 assists while the team recorded 23 digs.

The Crimson Wave will host Cardinal Stritch University on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm. 

Men Fall in Season Opener to Lindenwood

Crimson Wave Volleyball1/17/15-
The Crimson Wave men’s volleyball fell in their season opener today to Lindenwood University-Belleville 3-1 (17-25, 13-25, 25-23, 10-25).

The Crimson Wave fell in set 1 after a tough fought battle.  Belleville kept the momentum through set two as they went ahead 2-1 in the match.

CCSJ came out strong after the mid match break taking set three 25-23 for the teams first set win of the season.    The momentum would be short lived, as CCSJ would lose the fourth set giving the match to Lindenwood.

Dominick Terry posted 9 kills for the men with Tim Williams added 6.  Ruben Maciel ended the match with 20 assists.

The Crimson Wave will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Robert Morris University for their first Great Lakes Conference match of the season at 7:00 pm.
