Men Take 3rd in Crimson Wave Invite
8/31/08 - The Crimson Wave men's soccer team defeated Daemen College in the consolation game of the Crimson Wave Invite today 2-0. Ryan Fentress (Griffith HS) scored the men's first goal in the 35th minute of play off a head in assisted by Brian Bernal (Barrington HS). Esteban Lagunas (Hammond HS) scored the Wave's final goal in the 84th minute unassisted. The men's record now stands at 1-2. The Wave will take on Viterbo University on Wednesday September 3rd at 3:00 pm in LaCrosse, WI.
Men Defeated in Opening Round of Crimson Wave Invite
8/30/08 - The Crimson Wave men's soccer team was defeated in the opening round of the Crimson Wave Invite by the University of Sioux Falls 4-0. The men will play tomorrow morning at 11:30 am against Daemen College in the consolation game. The men's record is now 0-2.
Ladies Take Loss in Opening Round of Crimson Wave Invite
8/30/08 - The Crimson Wave women's soccer team lost in the opening round of the Crimson Wave Invite today to Rockford College 7-1. After being down 2-0 at the half, the Waves Amanda Churilla (Merrillville HS) scored the ladies only goal in the 50th minute of play, being assisted by Yuzenia Herrera (Bloom HS). The women will play in the consolation tomorrow at 9:00 am at Campagna Academy. The ladies record is now 0-2.
Wave Takes Tough Loss to Cougars
8/26/08 - The Crimson Wave women's volleyball team opened up their season tonight with a tough loss to conference opponent St. Xavier University three games to zero (18-25, 18-25, 22-25). The Wave were led by freshman Candice Stoner (New Prairie HS) with 8 kills. Stephanie Zimny (Highland HS) had 11 digs while Kate Delaney tallied up 15 assists. The ladies record is 0-1 with their next match on September 2nd against conference opponent Olivet Nazerene University starting at 7:00 pm.
Men's Soccer Falls Short at USF
8/24/08 The Crimson Wave men's soccer team was defeated in their season opener at the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, IN today 3-1. Ryan Fentress scored the Wave's only goal in the first half of play. The goal was assisted by Brendan Mulroe. Goalkeeper Pete Saims had 9 saves for the men. The Wave's record is now 0-1. The men will take on the University of Sioux Falls in the opening round of the Crimson Wave Invite on Saturday August 30th starting at 4:30 pm.
Ladies Defeated in Opener at Waldorf College
8/23/08 Women's Soccer opened their season today against Waldorf College in Forest City, IA. The ladies were defeated 4-1 in regulation. Yuzenia Herrera scored the Wave's only goal in the 70th minute. The ladies are 0-1 and will take on Rockford College in the Crimson Wave Invite on Saturday August 30th in a 9:00 am match.
CCSJ Women’s Soccer to Hold Open Tryouts
8/8/08 - The Calumet College of St. Joseph women’s soccer team will be holding open tryouts on Saturday, August 16 at 9:00 a.m. The tryouts are open to all current and potential CCSJ students.
