(1/30/08)Radtke Grabs His 1,000th

Crimson Wave men’s basketball player Tom Radtke reached his 1,000 rebound mark as the Crimson Wave men’s basketball team defeated Trinity Christian College 76-62 tonight in a CCAC Conference game.

Radtke reached his career milestone with only a few minutes left in the first half. Radtke was presented a ball at half time of the game marking his accomplishment along with his 1,000 point that came on January 6, 2007 in the Crimson Waves win over Illinois Institute of Technology. Radtke ended the night with 13 rebounds makings his career total 1,008 rebounds. Tom Radtke is the only player in Calumet College of St. Joseph men’s basketball history to have reached both the 1,000 point and 1,000 rebound marks.

The Crimson Wave women's basketball team defeated Andrews University tonight 73-40. Katrina Pradziad led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds. The ladies record is now 3-16. The women will play Wednesday night at home against conference oppenent Trinity Christian College.

(1/20/08)Men's Bowling Finishes 3rd at Hoinke

The Crimson Wave men’s bowling team returned home today from the Hoinke Bearcat Open in Cincinnati, OH. The men finished 3rd overall after leading the 42 team field at the end of day one. The Wave were led by Freshman Sammy Krucek All-Tournament Team performance averaging 223 pins. This is the men’s fourth straight top five finish. The men will be rolling at the Blue and Gold Classic this weekend in South Bend, IN.

(1/20/08)Women's Bowling Finishes 4th Behind Bane

The Crimson Wave women’s bowling team finished 4th at the Hoinke Bearcat open this weekend in Cincinnati, OH after being defeated by Lindenwood University in the Semi-Finals three games to one. Sarah Bane led the Wave with an All-Tournament Team performance. The women will be rolling at the Blue and Gold Classic this weekend in South Bend, IN.

(1/19/08)Basketball Takes Tough Loss to Rival Stritch

The Crimson Wave men and women's basketball teams hosted Cardinal Stritch University tonight in a conference double header. In the women's game the Crimson Wave were defeated 61-38. The women were led by Katrina Pradziad's 17 points. The ladies record is now 2-16. The men were also defeated tonight 64-55. The Wave were led by Waybon McConnell and Tom Radtke both throwing in 12 points. Radtke also had 15 rebounds. The men's record drops to 12-8. The men and women will be at Purdue University Calumet this Saturday January 19 at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

(1/13/08)Men's Bowling wins 1st Ever Tournament

The Crimson Wave men’s bowling team won their first ever Tournament this past weekend at the Eagles Baker Challenge in Waukegan, IL. The men defeated Lindenwood University in the final round after leading by only 27 pins entering the first baker game of the set. After losing the first game of the set, Lindenwood cut the Wave’s lead to 12 pins. From there, there was no looking back for the Wave, coming back and winning the next three baker games. During those last three games the men posted their best baker score of 258.

The Crimson Wave women's basketball team was defeated by Olivet Nazarene University today 109-38. Katrina Pradziad had 23 points for the Wave. The womens record is now 2-15. Their next game will be Wednesday January 16th when they host Cardinal Stritch University.

The Crimson Wave men's basketball team defeated Purdue North Central today 78-61. Waybon McConnell led the Wave in scoring with 18 points. Tom Radtke threw in another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The men improve their record to 12-7. Their next game will be at home against Cardinal Stritch University Wednesday January 16th.

The Crimson Wave men's basketball team defeated Illinois Institute of Technology tonight 90-65. The Wave had four players in double digits. George Kelly 20 points, Jon Contos 19 points, Kyle Burkholder 15 points and Andy Anderson 11 points. The men's record improved to 10-7. Their next game will be at Trinity International University Wednesday January 9th at 7:00 pm.

The Crimson Wave men's basketball team defeated the University of St. Francis tonight 76-65. Marcellus Phelps led the Wave with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Tom Radtke dumped in 20 points with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. The men's record improves to 9-7.
