(5/22/07) Softball Signs Three
The Crimson Wave softball team has signed three recruits to a national letter of intent to play under Head Coach Dale Ray; Stephanie Zimny, Jennifer Davila, and Anna Liptack. Zimny a transfer from University of Indianapolis will help the Wave in the much need pitching department. Davila, a Hammond High graduate will come to the Wave and join the already talented infield of Laura Siminuc and Ashley Lake. Ana Liptack will rejoin the ladies after receiving her associate’s degree in 2006. Liptack led the Wave in batting average throughout the 2006 season.

(5/07/07) Men’s Soccer Signs 7
Coach Peter Haze Haring of Calumet College of St. Joseph announces the signing of seven “region” soccer players who have committed to the Crimson Wave men’s soccer program. Jose “Pepe” Sandoval (Hammond H.S. / University of Indianapolis), Angel Salazar (Hammond H.S.), Juan Granda (Hammond H.S.), Ricky Salazar (Hammond Morton H.S.), Will Fortenberry (Portage H.S.), Bobby Miroski (Crown Point H.S.) and Nick Sneiderwine (Crown Point H.S.). According to Coach Haring the incoming players will be a nice combination of talent and leadership that will compliment the strengths of the returning players of the team. Jose Sandoval, Ricky Salazar and Will Fortenberry will add a greater depth and consistency to the midfield of the Crimson Wave. The additions of Sneiderwine and Morski should bring more offensive striking to the squad which features current players of Federico Villasenor, Ryan Fentress and Esteban Lagunas. Angel Salazar and Juan Granda will be great additions to the defensive core of the team because their ability to read the game along with a strong defensive presence.

(5/04/07) 11 Named Scholar Athletes
NAIA Region 7 has named 11 Crimson Wave athletes Region 7 Academic Scholar-Athletes. The following are the 11 athletes and their sport: Jessica Banke (Women’s Volleyball) Charlsie Martinez (Women’s Volleyball), Kim Hrabovsky (Women’s Soccer), Sally Lobo (Women’s Soccer), Jorie Arnold (Women’s Soccer), Kim Harkleroad (Women’s Basketball), Lauren Nakoff (Women’s Basketball), Tom Radtke (Men’s Basketball), Ryan Keelan (Baseball), Joe Kwiatkowski (Baseball), and Dan Rudenga (Baseball).

(5/04/07) Liptack Named Honorable Mention
Crimson Wave softball player Missy Liptack (St. Francis de Sales HS) has been named CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Liptack led the Wave this season in Batting Average with .303, Slugging Percentage .440, and Hits with 33. Liptack’s highlight of the season was a grand slam home run against nationally ranked William Penn University on 4-14-07. Only a sophomore, Liptack has two years left and many more highlights.

(5/03/07) Baseball Ends Season
The Crimson Wave baseball team was defeated in a conference double header today against Trinity International University 10-0 and 15-6. This was the men's last game of the season. Their final record was 10-39 and 1-19 in conference.

(5/02/07) Softball Wins Two of Three
The Crimson Wave softball team played three games yesterday at Mount Mary College. Game one against Lincoln Christian College the Wave won 9-2 with Laura Siminuc going 2-3 with a double, and Corey Scanlan going 2-4 with a double. Game two the Crimson Wave won 13-3 against Mount Mary College. Missy Liptack was 3-3 with a 2 run homer. Laura Siminuc also was 2-4 with a double. The Wave lost game 3 to Robert Morris College 9-0. This was the last game for the ladies this season. Their final overall record is 10-34 and 0-18 in conference.
