Last night at the Dynasty Banquet Hall the Crimson Wave athletic department held its 2nd annual awards banquet which highlighted the best of what our teams have accomplished this past season. Some of the major highlights were:
Major Department Awards:
Athlete of the Year: Ryan Gleghorn – Men’s Bowling
Male Senior of the Year: Tom Radtke – Men’s Basketball
Female Senior of the Year: Laura Simunic – Softball
Andy Juscik Character Award: Eric Ruiz – Men’s Soccer
76 student-athletes earned the honor of being on the Athletic Director’s List for achieving a 3.0 or higher GPA this school year.
15 student-athletes made the NAIA Region VII all-academic team.
5 student-athletes earned the distinction of making the NAIA Daktronics National Scholar-Athlete award.
TOP TEAM GPA: Women’s Bowling – 3.49 GPA
TOP FRESHMAN GPA: Angel Ross (Tennis) – 4.0 GPA
TOP SOPHMORE GPA: Monica Kafantaris (Bowling) – 3.969 GPA
TOP JUNIOR GPA: Sarah Bane (Bowling) & Aubrey Wiersema (Softball) – 4.0 GPA
TOP SENIOR GPA: Tom Radtke (Basketball) – 3.87 GPA
