Ladies Off to Slow Start at the Crimson Wave Invite

Despite out shooting their opponent, the Crimson Wave women's soccer team took an opening round loss on day one of the Crimson Wave Invitational. The ladies were defeated by Concordia University 3-0.
The Crimson Wave took eleven shots to Concordia's eight. After trailing just 1-0 at the half the ladies never found their rhythm giving up two second half goals. CCSJ made their final run at a comeback in the 87th minute when
Taylor Syren and
Patty Diaz took back to back shots going just wide of the goal.
Amy Gasiorowski grabbed 4 saves for CCSJ.
In the second game of the invite Mount Mercy College defeated Purdue University Calumet 4-1.
The Crimson Wave now 2-1 overall will face Purdue University Calumet tomorrow morning at 9:00 am in the consolation game of the Crimson Wave Invite.
