Crimson Wave Men's Bowling
We are entering our 7th year of competition and we've come a long way,(including a perfect 6 for 6 in making National Finals, as well as USBC ITC national runner-up 2010 and NAIABCA national runner up in 2012 and we continue working diligently to build a top-level collegiate bowling program. You will find Calumet College of St. Joseph is one of the best funded collegiate bowling programs in the country. To start, many players we sign are awarded significant financial help to cover a portion of their annual tuition. On top of that, we take care of nearly all costs associated with being part of the bowling program. Along with great funding support, we also have a terrific practice facility located just a few minutes from the school. Olympia Lanes, the home of numerous PBA events, has new Brunswick Pro-Anvil lane beds and a top-of-the line Kegel lane machine that provide us with a variety of demanding lane conditions to hone our competitive skills. Head Coach, Mike Kubacki, has gained national recognition as a collegiate and amateur competitor, since 1986. His accomplishments include gold and silver medals while competing for Vincennes University, along with nearly two-hundred amateur tournament wins. These include three Indiana state titles and numerous local association crowns. His record also includes numerous individual awards for 300's and 800's, and a perfect 3-for-3 cashing in U.S. Open Championships as an amateur. Mr. Kubacki is a USBC Silver Level coach, and he also directed a successful State Championship high school bowling program for Griffith High. CCSJ also has made a commitment to having excellent assistant coaches realizing the importance of the individual attention that is needed to succeed in college bowling. Assistant Coach Ryan Gleghorn (Grinder) is a former collegiate All-American and ITC MVP and a graduate of CCSJ. Sammy Krucek is also a former collegiate All-American, graduate of CCSJ, and ball driller at Olympia lanes. Both are considered among the best players in Chicagoland area and they bring a desire to see the future of the program they helped build continue to excel.
Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) is a small, family-oriented, four-year college offering master's, bachelor's, and associate's degrees as well as certificate programs. In addition, students may be awarded credit for life experience.
The college's main campus is easy to reach: just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. CCSJ has no out-of-state tuition differential and is conveniently housed in a single building with plenty of free parking.
