Crimson Wave head men’s soccer coach Justin Olson has announced the signing of Ancilla College soccer stand out Emmanuel Awuku to a national letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic careers at Calumet College of St. Joseph. During his career at Ancilla, Emmanuel received 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All Region as a freshman. His sophomore year, Manny was named 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All Region.

While attending Calumet College of St. Joseph, Emmanuel plans to study Sports and Exercise Science.
“I chose CCSJ because I saw that it is a good institute to study Exercise Science and has a good soccer team. My goal next season is to have over a 3.0 gpa and help the team have their best season ever.” Said Awuku.

With over 20 goals in two seasons at Ancilla, Emmanuel is certainly on the right track.

“How can you not be excited about a 6’4, 221lb forward? Manny made a positive impression on me within the first minute of talking to him. You can tell that he has a passion for the game. Emmanuel can play with his back to goal and does very well at holding up the play. He is able to use his body to shield the ball. Manny was the leading goal scorer at Ancilla the last two seasons, and that bodes well for our attack.” Said head coach Justin Olson.
