Crimson Wave head men’s soccer coach Justin Olson has announced the signing of South Bend St. Joseph High School soccer star Johnathan Brenner to a national letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic careers at Calumet College of St. Joseph.

Brenner will join Crimson Wave senior Fernando Perez in the goal next season. While attending CCSJ Brenner will major in Computer Information Systems.

The All-Northern Indiana Conference first team and the All-District 1 Second Team honoree will bring hard work and experience to the Crimson Wave defense.  Brenner’s hard work and tough physical ability will bring a solid base to the Crimson Wave goal.

While at South Bend St. Joseph High School Brenner help lead the Indians to a Sectional championship last season.

“Johnathan is one of the best goalkeeper's in state of Indiana. Each time we would watch him play, he would seem to get better. Johnathan has a lot of qualities that a coach looks for in a collegiate goalkeeper. He has great reactions, good hands, and is big in the air. His understanding of the game and getting his players organized on the field was a key factor in signing Johnathan.  Johnathan has a bright future ahead of him here at CCSJ. We are all very excited about Johnathan joining our squad.”  Said Head Coach Justin Olson
