Crimson Wave head men’s soccer coach Justin Olson has announced the signing of Lake Central High School soccer standout Joshua Crague to a national letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic careers at Calumet College of St. Joseph. During his soccer career at Lake Central, Josh was 1st Team All District, 1st Team All State, Team Captain, leading goal scorer, and a state champion.

“Josh Crague came back to LC his senior season minus all the weapon's he had had in the previous 3 years.  During last season's tournament he put on his superman's cape and led his team to the Regional final.  His post season performance's leading back to his freshman year have been remarkable! Josh was part of two final four's and two regional finals.  I have been coaching for 15 years at LC and his effort against CP in regionals is second to nothing I have ever witnessed in an IHSAA tournament!  We will miss Josh and hope to see him continue his efforts at Cal College.” Said Josh’s high school coach Jeremy Rainwater.

While attending CCSJ, Josh will pursue Business Management. “I chose CCSJ because I wanted to play with some of my high school teammates again. I am looking forward to doing well in the CCAC conference this season and scoring goals.” Said Josh Crague when asked what he was looking forward to most this upcoming season.

“Josh was a player we had identified early during his senior season. He plays with great pace and has the ability to find the back of the net. One thing that really stood out about Josh was his ability to produce when his team needed him most. I watched his regional game this season where he scored three goals, including the game winning goal at the end. That is exactly the type of player that any college coach would want on their team. Josh is a special player and I’m very excited to watch him grow over these next four years.” Said Head Coach Olson.
