Crimson Wave Athletics

Crimson Wave head cross country and track and field coach Kevin Paterson has announced the signing of Lake Central High School standout Kelly Kline to a national letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic careers at Calumet College of St Joseph, Kelly had a stellar career for legendary coach Rudy Skorupa.

Kelly will join a very deep and talented recruiting class for the Crimson Wave. He knows what it takes to be on a successful team being a part of 2011 and 2012 Lake Central team that qualified for semi-state in cross country. Kelly will major in criminal justice while attending CCSJ.”

“It’s always exciting when you have the opportunity to add a runner that will battle for a varsity spot right away and that’s what I expect out of Kelly. He has a tremendous amount of upside on the cross country course and the track I see Kelly becoming a fantastic student athlete here at CCSJ. As a coach I have very big goals for this program and signing a recruit like Kelly helps us become a factor in the CCAC.”
