Crimson Wave men’s basketball has announced the signing of LaRoi Harmon as a member of the 2013-2014 recruiting class. The 6-4 forward from Hammond comes to Calumet College of Saint Joseph after a successful career at George Rogers Clark High School.

Harmon filled the stat sheet in his senior season at Clark averaging 15.5 points and 10 rebounds per game. He was named team MVP and was named first team All-Lake Athletic Conference. The NW Times selected him as an All-Area performer and Hoosier Basketball Magazine selected him as all-state honorable mention.

“We have been evaluating LaRoi for a couple of years,” said Crimson Wave head coach Ryan Sexson. “He has always been a very strong and physical kid, but now his skills are starting to catch up to his athleticism. LaRoi is not afraid to mix things up. He has a good motor and is very competitive. “We are really excited to see how he develops.”
LaRoi plans to pursue a degree in Business Management while attending CCSJ.
