The Crimson Wave women’s soccer team has announced the signing of Rebecca Berry, a midfielder from Bendingo, Victoria in Australia.
Rebecca joins a talented midfield for the Crimson Wave that was led by Carly Bermes last season. “I chose CCSJ because they have a fantastic athletic program and the smaller class sizes are something I believe I would benefit from. I’m looking forward to meeting the team and making new friends. I aim to achieve top grades, be in my best athletic form and do my bit to make sure our team is achieving its goals and setting new records,” said Rebecca.
Rebecca Berry finished her senior season with 17 goals. She has also received the following awards:
2012 – Leading goal scorer for Colts United
Named as a midfielder in the league All-Star Team
Represented Victoria at Nationals
Captain of school team that won the State Championship
2013 – Vice Captain of Colts United
Named as a midfielder in the league All Star Team
Awarded Player of the Match in the Grand Final
“We have very high expectations for Rebecca Berry. She is very crafty on the ball and has the ability to score goals. She will complement our midfield very well and we are looking forward to getting her into the mix next season. We are very excited to bring Rebecca in and I’m excited to watch her grow as a student athlete,” said Coach Olson.
While attending CCSJ, Rebecca will major in Accounting.
