The Crimson Wave women’s soccer team is proud to announce the signing of Talissa Willmette to the 2014-2015 recruiting class. Talissa is a striker that attended Lake Munmorah High School in New South Wales in Australia. “I come from a small town on the East Coast of Australia, just north of Sydney; I have grown up with strong family values and a great set of morals. I have always been surrounded by people who are supportive of me. The town I live in is quite small with just under 1,000 people living in it. We are surrounded by the beautiful coastline and we all love our outdoors,” said Talissa when asked about her home town.

While attending CCSJ, Talissa plans to major in Sports and Exercise Science. “Calumet College of St. Josephs appears to be not only a great academic institution but one that offers young athletes the best possible opportunity to represent their school in their chosen sporting field with teams ranked in the top section of the tables,” said Wilmette.

Talissa ended her season on a good note by receiving player of the game in the Grand Final. She was also a team captain which shows her leadership skills on the pitch. “I am looking forward to playing in a well-known team and proving to Coach Olson that I am the best possible selection for his squad,” added Wilmette.

“We are really excited to have Talissa join our squad for next season. She has the ability to create space in front of her and see’s the field well. She has great breakaway speed and has a high work rate. I really like her skills on the ball and she has the ability to score goals and help create scoring opportunities,” said Coach Olson.
