8/30/07 Dupage L 0-9 This opening match was overall a good experiece for all. With our young rookie team, we managed to hang in with the 2006-2007 Junior College CHAMPS of Dupage. We suffered a loss of 0-9, but gained great experience for our upcoming matches. Also, we'd like to acknowledge one of our newest member of the team, Ashley, for the heart and drive she put into her match.

9/7/07 Robert Morris W 5-4 What an amazing experience, here we were in beautiful downtown Chicago on a hot and eventually rainy day. We had the most competitive matches, our #2 singles breezed to a win, while our #5 slowly but surely came out on top, meanwhile our #1, 3 and 4 singles went on to play three setters. Which led to 2 wins and a loss. Crimson wave was shining till we got rained out to a final score of 6-1.

09/8/07 8 Team Dbls Trny After our victorious win and falling short on matches due to rain, next day Crimson Wave was hyped and hungry for more. Entering this 8 team doubles tournament,we had 3 doubles teams. Unfortunately, our #3 doubles had to forfeit due to an injury. Our #1 dbls played tough and went on to take 4th place while our #2 doubles came a little short but took a comfortable 3rd place.

9/14/07 St. Francis of Fort Wayne L 0-9 Experiencing frustration and great competitive play crimson wave put out a good fight, had good rallies but had trouble finishing off the point. Here, the more experienced team seemed to take control and led Crimson wave to a loss of 0-9. Considering crimson wave automatically gave up 2 points due to injuries, we'll take this loss as a gain of valuable experience.

09/15/07 IN Tech of Fort Wayne L 2-7 Once again, Crimson Wave feels the pressure. Considering They're down 2 automatic losses due to injuries, they're the underdogs trying to catch up. Chiristina #1 singles played a tough match and lost against a Brazilian bomber recruit. #2 singles Lizeth had trouble adjusting at first but managed to come back tough but a little too late. While #3 singles Marina won, showing total control throughout the match. #4 singles Angela set the tone for the match after battling the 1stset, then went on to win it. #5 Ashley had a late conquering comeback on the second set but a little too late. #6 Amanda showing talent and experience went on to win her singles and doubles match.

9/19/07 Olivet Nazarene University L 0-9 Preparing for this match, crimson wave came to practice determined to compete at a higher level. But even the most strenuous practices could stand a chance with this experienced, top conference, well established team. Everyone played tough and earned every point they got with Olivet.. Crimson Wave put a lot of effort into these matches, but Olivet claimed the matches with a score of 9-0.

9/20/07 St. Joseph L 0-9 This is it, our first home match, families setting up to what seams to be a home town rivalry against past teammates and coaches, eager to see their loved ones take control. The line up was set and announced and sure enough the unexpected happened. Two set of best friends were matched to play each other, our #4 and #6 singles, Angela and Amanda. Crimson Wave appeared to be motivated by the support of their spectators. As the matches initiated, the intensity surrounded everyone. Rallies seemed to be fairly equal. The grunting had started, bottles of water were being refilled, slipping and sliding began as they all went for that last winning shot. The matches were exciting and competitive but the results did not seem to reflect what we all experienced. As a result, Crimson Wave took a big upset of 0-9 against St. Joseph College.

9/23/07 Marian College L 0-9 It's never easy for anyone to digest a loss especially when you work so hard for that victory. As a team, Crimson Wave has gotten the taste of victory but simply can't savor it long enough. We've been experiencing high hopes along with good but non victorious matches. Crimson Wave spirits were low going into this match and as a result, they showed it on the court as they faced the strong team of Marian College, which won 9-0. As the team regroups and searches for a team leader to emerge from the ranks, we optimistically prepare for our next road trip.
