Employment Site Guidelines

The College will approve an internship in settings in which students are employed, provided certain safeguards can be established to preserve the educational quality of the experience.  This means that a student:

  1. must have been employed by the organization for at least one year and his/her performance evaluations must be at a satisfactory level 
  1. must be assigned duties different from those performed as a regular employee
  1. must have learning assignments that offer opportunities for new learning and growth
  1. must be assigned to a different department or program and/or to a supervisor other than his/her employment supervisor to oversee the internship.
