The “We Are Family” Guatemala Project Receives $4500 Grant
Br. Jerry and Jim are happy to announce that the “We Are Family” Guatemala project has received a $4500 grant from the Father Brunner Peace and Justice Fund. These funds will be used for updating and renovation of the sewing center, and rehabbing the village community centers in Lo DeReyes and Los Vados. The good work continues to move forward.
This is a great time to pick up some donations for the Tools for Schools. We especially need pencils and 24 packs of crayons. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, and books in Spanish are also needed. Please note that due to current customs regulations, we will not be collecting medical supplies (including aspirin).
Thank you to everyone who has hit those sales and brought in their donations. One package of pencils, for example, can mean that each child in a family has their own pencil, and they don’t have to take turns using the pencil at school each day.
