United States Steel has long been an economic powerhouse in Northwest
Indiana. Northwest Indiana has been a hub for the world’s steel
industry for over 100 years. The USX Foundation Endowed Scholarship was
established at Calumet College of St. Joseph beginning in the 2000-2001
academic year to honor deserving students.
