Frank O’Bannon Grants (State of Indiana Aid)

The Indiana Commission of Higher Education knows that a productive workforce is based on the education level of the State’s population. To that end, Indiana offers several State scholarships to students who show financial need. By filing the FAFSA by March 1* of the year prior to your entry in college, you will automatically be considered for all forms of State grant money.

*Filing by March 1 ensures that you will meet the state deadline of March 10 to have your FAFSA processed.

Indiana 21st Century Scholarship	U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, 21st Century Scholar recipient, and Indiana resident. Processed FAFSA by March 10. Full- time enrollment.	Award amount varies
Indiana Minority Teacher & Special Services Scholarship	A minorty student (defined as African American or Hispanic), an Indiana resident, an eligible U.S. citizen or permanent resident, marjoring in Education and seeking a teaching certification, enrolled at CCSJ as a full-time student (12 or more credits) with a CCSJ GPA of at least 3.0, and at least a sophomore standing (undergraduate). Completion of the FAFSA and student must not be in default on a state or federal loan or have a grant overpayment.	Award amount varies up to $4,000 annually
Indiana Part-Time Grant	Financial need, U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, and Indiana resident. Must be enrolled in at least an associate degree program consisting of 3-11 credit hours per semester.	Award amount varies up to $2,069 annually
State of Indiana Work Study	Financial need, U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, and Indiana resident. Processed FAFSA by March 10.	Award amount varies
