Please consult the Office of Financial Aid for more complete details relating to CCSJ scholarships and grants.  Some restrictions apply. General restrictions include: eligibility criteria for new students must be met at the time of admission to CCSJ, award amounts are based on credit hours of enrollment, completion of the FAFSA is required for all CCSJ scholarships and grants, CCSJ awards cannot exceed 50% of tuition (or 100% of tuition if indicated), CCSJ aid is applied after all other forms of financial aid are applied (not to exceed tuition), and not all CCSJ scholarships and grants can be combined. Presidential Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $9,000 annually

Minimum 1200 SAT or 27 ACT and 3.5 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale required. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ. For full-time students only. 8 semesters, Fall and Spring.

Trustee Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $7,000 annually

Minimum 1100 SAT or 24 ACT and 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale required. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ. For full-time students only. 8 semesters, Fall and Spring.

C.PP.S Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $5,000 annually

Minimum 1000 SAT or 22 ACT and 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale required. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ. For full-time students only. 8 semesters, Fall and Spring.

St. Joseph Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $5,000 annually

Minimum 900 SAT or 18 ACT and a 3.0 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ. For full-time students only. 8 semesters, Fall and Spring.

Creative Preformance Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $5,000 annually

For students interested in: Art, Theater or Library Science. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ. For full-time students only. 8 semesters, Fall and Spring.

St. Gaspar's Honors Learning Community Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $2,000 annually

Awarded to select first-year and second-year students in the Honors Learning Community program.

Honors Learning Community Portfolio/Scholarship Application

GED Grant

Award amount varies up to $2,000 annually

Minimum 250(0) score on the GED test. This grant is renewable for 9 semesters based on attainment of 3.0 GPA.

Transfer Scholarship

Award amount varies up to $2,000 annually

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale averaged from all colleges previously attended and at least 30 hours of transferable college credit. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ. Renewable for 6 semesters.

Award amount varies up to $800 annually

Athletics Grant

Award amount varies up to $10,000 annually

Eligibility is based on student participation in at least one NAIA sport per academic year. Fall & Spring semesters only.

Illinois Grant

Award amount varies up to $4,000 annually

Available to Illinois residents only. Full-time enrollment required. Based on the financial need of the student. Fall & Spring semesters only.

Adult Learner Grant

Award amount varies up to $5,000 annually

Available for students 55 years of age or older. Amounts vary based on enrollment and EFC

Alumni Grant

Award amount varies up to $5,000 annually

For undergraduate courses only. Student must have a bachelor degree from CCSJ.

Completed Alumni Grant Form

Diocesan Grant

Award amount varies up to $5,000 annually

Available to full-time employees of the Diocese of Gary or the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Verification of Employment

Student Participation Grant

Award amount varies up to $2,000 annually

Complete requirements as specified while serving as a CCSJ mentor, tutor, club President, club VP or member of the drama group.

CCSJ Hammond College Bound Scholarship

Amount varies up to the cost of tuition

Available to students who receive the Hammond College Bound Scholarship. The award assists in covering the remaining tuition costs after all other forms of financial aid are applied.

CCSJ Legacy Grant

Award amount varies up to $3,000 annually

For the son, daughter, sibling, spouse or grandchild of a CCSJ Bachelor or Masters degree recipient. Full-time enrollment required. Fall & Spring semesters only.

CCSJ Foundations of East Chicago Scholarship

Amount varies up to the cost of tuition

Available to students who receive the Foundations of East Chicago Scholarship. The award matches the amount of the Foundations of East Chicago Scholarship up to the cost of tuition after all other forms of financial aid are applied.

Admission to the College and recipient of the Foundations of East Chicago Scholarship

Zero EFC Grant

Award amount varies up to the cost of tuition

Available to traditional, 0 EFC students who qualify for full Pell and State of Indiana aid. The award assists in covering the remaining tuition costs after all other forms of financial aid are applied.

CCSJ Fast Track Grant

Award amount varies up to 35% of the cost of tuition and fees

Available to stduents who enroll and complete an accelerated, 1 year program.
