Blackboard

Calumet College of St. Joseph's online learning environment utilizes the Blackboard e-learning platform. Blackboard is a comprehensive online course management system used to support supplemental distance learning or total distance education. To access Blackboard, go to http://www.ccsj.edu/blackboard and review the login procedures. Students should contact computer services at ext. 366 for help with their log in.

To request a Blackboard course site, faculty should go to :

Select the appropriate form, respond to a few questions and click submit. We will send you a confirmation that your course has been created. Faculty should contact Toni Koslow, Instructional Technologist, at ext. 377 to schedule training.

Multimedia Equipment

Specker Memorial Library has the following equipment available for instructional use:

Call Library Circulation (x373) to reserve. AV equipment availability is limited. Reserve early!

Toni Koslow, Instructional Technologist, is available to consult with faculty and staff on a one-on-one basis to explain software and equipment, help work through problems, and provide alternatives using various technologies.

The Instructional Technologist is available to consult with faculty and staff on a one-on-one basis to explain software and equipment, help work through problems, and provide alternatives using various technologies. Training classes on the use and application of technology and instructional methods are offered throughout the year.

Consultation for Course Design, Development, and Troubleshooting

The Instructional Technologist is available to work with faculty in the design of course modules and materials. Assistance with a wide range of questions and issues related to the effective use of technology in teaching and learning is available.
