External Club or Organization Rules and Policies for Recognition

Clubs or organizations seeking recognition must register every semester in order to be approved from SGA and the Director of Student Activities. The  registration process consists of:

  • Submitting current operation documents of the parent organization, constitution, bylaws, parent organization advisor contact information along with a CCSJ registration application to SGA and meet with the Director of Student Activities. All forms are due by 5pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2012.
  • If the proposed Club or organization is denied written notification of the decision will be emailed or mailed by the Director of Student Activities.

* Affiliated registered clubs or organizations will not receive funding from Calumet College of St. Joseph.  The college will not be held responsible for any acts of violence or disruption.
All accepted clubs or organizations must:

  • Provide at least one activity open to the CCSJ community per semester that promote education, recreation, culture, or social in nature and do not demonstrate danger, acts of violence, or disruption.
  • Participate in the college’s holiday community parties and membership drive.

Statement of Compliance: Each club is responsible for knowing and abiding by all CCSJ policies, procedures, and student expectations as well as federal, state, and local laws.
