CCSJ Philosophy Club

The CCSJ Philosophy Club is a place for students to explore philosophy and how it connects to their everyday lives. It is a fun, engaging, and safe environment for free discussion. The Philosophy Club has four main objectives:

  • Introduce and deepen students' understanding of philosophy through group discussion.

  • Connect the ideas of philosophy to events, media (movies, books, music, etc), and the issues in students' everyday lives.

  • Reinforce and expand upon the ideas discussed in students' humanities and philosophy courses and relate those ideas to course material.

  • Provide CCSJ students with opportunities to explore philosophical issues in more depth than their classes through discussions, public debates, and other events (decided by members of the club each semester).
