Orientation

Traditional
To facilitate a smooth transition to college life, the college conducts an orientation program each semester for all new students. Participation in an orientation program is required for incoming undergraduate students with fewer than 15 hours of college credit. Part and full time students are required to take College Survival: Orientation (GENL 100), a 2-credit hour course. Please note: students who do not successfully complete GENL 100 will not be allowed to register for a second term of classes.

Transfer
A transfer orientation program is provided for all other incoming undergraduate students (students with 15 or more hours of course credit). Academic Support Programs has designed a transfer orientation checklist for transfer students. This checklist will serve as a guide to help new transfer students transition and understand more about Calumet College of St. Joseph policies and procedures. For additional information regarding transfer orientation, contact Academic Support Programs at 219-473-4352 or stop by suite 400
.
