Dionne Jones-Malone joined Calumet College of St. Joseph in the fall of 2005. As Director of Student Support Services, she manages programming and support services for the Tutoring Center, Disability Services, the Learning Community Mentoring Program and several first year experience programs. Dionne is dedicated to helping students maximize their academic potential and assist students with successful completion of their post-secondary education.
Dionne has a diverse background in higher education and nonprofit organizations. Her prior work experience includes working with the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Indiana, TRIO programs and institutions of higher learning such as Texas State University and the University of Texas-Austin. Dionne is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education, Leadership, Administration and Foundations from Indiana State University. She received her Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University-San Marcos and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Texas-Austin.

Jamie Turner became a member of the Calumet College of Saint Joseph’s family in 2007, as the Coordinator for Student Support Services. She has recently taken on the role of Assistant Director for the department, and continues to remain dedicated to the department’s mission.
Jamie started her journey of higher learning at South Suburban College where she earned an A.S. She then went on to obtain her B.A. from Governors State University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with concentrations in training and development. She is determined to continually develop and foster leadership abilities within students, while encouraging and promoting lifelong education.

Amy Comparon, a CCSJ alumna, has been working with Calumet College since December of 1999.  Prior to her position, she started in the Admissions Office as an Admissions Counselor and was promoted as the Assistant Director of Admissions in 2002.  Upon receiving her M.A. in English from Governors State University, Amy accepted the position of Tutoring Specialist in April of 2007, and was later granted the title Coordinator of Tutoring Services in 2009.  In her various roles, she also serves as the liaison for the 21st Century Scholars Success Program. As the Coordinator of Tutoring Services, Amy supervises activities and resources within the Tutoring Center and student tutors.  Along with her education, Amy bestows eight years of experience as a CCSJ English Adjunct Faculty member to the Center.

Mary Jo Curosh has been working with Calumet College of St. Joseph since August of 2003 where she was hired as Support Staff in Academic Advising and then Student Support Services in 2005.  She was promoted to Learning Specialist in Student Support Services in 2009, in addition to supervising & organizing tutor/student schedules in the Tutoring Center. Her role as Learning Specialist assists freshman to navigate their first year through the coordination of Learning Community Socials, Faculty/Mentor meetings & one-on-one assigned Mentoring.
During her time at Calumet College, she received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Professional Writing and in 2008 was invited to read, “The Acquisition of Language for the Deaf” at the ELL Conference at the University of St. Francis in which she shared her research, as well as personal experiences as a Child of Deaf Adults. Accordingly, Mary Jo currently teaches American Sign Language at CCSJ, where she enjoys sharing her familiarity of the culture, vocabulary and language of the Deaf.

Melody Stalbaum is the Administrative Coordinator of the Career & Student Support Services Department at Calumet College of St. Joseph.  She spends her time aiding students and alumni with their various needs while providing vital support services for fellow staff and faculty members. Melody has s diverse background in administration, training   and management over the past 10 years providing support within corporations and non-profit organizations.  Melody received her Associate of Arts Degree in Communications from Manchester College.
